The Audio Engineering Society is the only professional society devoted exclusively to audio technology. Founded in 1948, the AES is an international organization that unites audio engineers, creative artists, scientists and students worldwide by promoting advancements in audio.
12,000+ members and over 200 sections worldwide.

Each year, AES puts on a series of conferences in varying focuses of audio. The annual US AES convention takes place at the Javitts Center in Manhattan, co-habitating with The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB). Read a review by Mix Magazine on the 2022 convention:

AES Columbus is an official professional section of the Audio Engineering Society with over 70 members from Ohio and surrounding areas who work in a wide variety of audio-related fields, disciplines, and industries.
